and they give their children to the crowd
one by one they walk away
to men and women
to fufill the cycle
and give meaning to their days

they give their children to the crowd
with a leash around their neck
and a gun inside their chests they'll
survive
without a bullet but they were
taught to care less

a gun
without a bullet
they were taught to care less about love

and they emerge
one by one
as they came
as they walked away
they found themselves
in the womb
with the garden out of reach they
found themselves dying they
couldn't care less about love

Wow -- like watching a train wreck, inevitable, immutable, incredible.

One powerful piece of poetry here.
