The sky splits open
and weeps for me today
I amused myself once
with childlike illusions
like these

But I know better now

No sheppard
minds this sheep
no angels weep for
the loss of this soul

l thought I'd known
what alone was
but I was wrong
lying here in the dark
trembling in its grasp

But I know better now

This  shadow
long and tattered
spread upon the wall
which groans from
the weight of Past

I watch the cracks
spread spiderweb pattern
hands raised to brace
the walls from falling
once again

But I know better now

Sometimes at night the aloneness closes in on me too, I know this feeling well and often wake up in fear.

Raph,

I am not going to say what I really think, because that would be about me, and not you...

But how about just a hug and tell you  I really like this. It touches deeply.

Hugs, Pat

good one ralph, definitely...
we've all been there at one point in time, I think.. sometimes reading this kind of poetry lifts me up more than it drags me down, you can't run from loneliness and you can't run from bad feelings, you have to find a way to revel in them while they are here, and all things pass.
powerful piece.

You express it better than I ever could.  Your writing and depth of emotion continues to amaze me, and this is yet another one that I relate to...no wonder why I'm your manager

This is a keeper~

"no angels weep..."

'tis true, you cast a bright light on dark thoughts.  Well done.

Raphey,
As you know, this is your response to Sue's reply. All I can say is, I honestly and truly hope that your "dreams" will very soon be realities.

And, remember, no matter what darkness we seem to have to face, we have made a lot of friends here at PIP who are very willing to give us the love, support and encouragement that we need. And, they also do the best they can to understand what we are going through.

Raph, I didn't intend to get so long-winded, but this poem really touched me...I could feel it....because I have felt it!!

Heart Hugs to you, friend

You write of a subject so difficult to describe that many can relate to.

have you considered changes
instead of a coma
since when you wake up all that crap will still be waiting for you - lol

Oh & sounds like you need a new Manager if you are considering a comatose existence
I know a good one if you want a reference..
