At the urging of two great poets, Ethel and Richy...I changed the this to "We Are Poetry." Thanks for your help. After endless sabbatical, you reappear at my door. Knock barely audible above life’s deafening noise. Persistent in your calling, I allow you to enter. Silent moments spent in strained negotiations. But again in your hands, I place all that is self. I give to you my heart, my soul, my mind. I breathe life in you as you breathe life in me. You are me. And I am you. As one, We are poetry. Patricia I think this was so great! You really hit one here... I don’t know much about “Him?” But what I do know about “You” At the very least... I see the ending of your poem, as... “We Are Poetry” Wonderful piece Patricia... I’m very proud of you! Richy |

Richy, Well, isn't that the ultimate compliment or is it complement...I can never keep those two straight. I must say, I do like your ending. But then someone might think me a bit conceited or is it concieted? LOL Free verse too, dear...big departure...don't do this often. You know we are the ryhme time kids. Thanks for being you! |

Exactly! Just what PIP did for me, at a point where I had given up on myself as a poet, stopped writing, and probably forever this time....posted one here because I had read a few and wanted to give something back...then that little knock at my inner door....and Voila!
