I am pacing myself, widening
my inner circle, realizing that
I was a foot taller than you, and
that we marched to a different drummer.

I am taking those steps, rating my stride, working
on my gait, not trying to match yours or anyone else's
now, because I want to stroll, ease into the new and stand on
tiptoe, to reach and kiss the one who holds the rhythm of my heart.

Bravo!
Enjoyed the wonderful weave of renewal here.
You have said this quite eloquently. TD

Good Morning TD.

Renewal is easier said than done. But it beats failure.

"Here we are traveling to the beat of a different drum."  That was a great song wasn't it...Especially the line..."Well I'm not saying you're not pretty, all I'm saying is I'm not ready, for any person place or thing, to try to hold the reins in on me."
Reminds me of a relationship I'm in right now...in some ways we march to the same drum and in some ways we march to a different drum...of course I like the different beats...James

well at least you have a relationship James, mine is just a fantasy and probably always will be. But I do like that song.

Thank you Denise and James. I always appreciate when you stop to read me.
