Above and Below
by Matt Keach

A shadow plays on the doorstep
The mist of smoke pushes upwards
to wood that enevelopes these memories
Goodbye notes and christmas cards

Through the window, the call of crows
seem to beckon a sort of smile
While the train, trudges forth a troop
of bodies to throw in a pile

Thunder roars, without a cloud in the sky
and all are wondering where?
Lightning strikes, a man screams and cries
"it's never there, it's here!"
