Dear Mom...

You are not just the mother of your children. Nor are you simply the grandmother to a growing bounty, or great grandmother to a precious few more.

You are so much more than that.

You are the embodiment of all that is chaste and all that is proper.

An incarnation of goodwill.

The sheer personification of purity, and decency and all things virtuous.

Brought into all our lives, to remind us. To remind us of hope, and to remind us of faith. The faith of belonging, The faith of caring, the faith of never giving up.

Dear Mother you have never given up on anything that you hold dear to your heart. Like your marriage, your family or your friends.

It is almost as though you’ve been given to us as a gift. A maidenly angel. An entity of virtue all unto yourself.

To not only our family, but to all fortunate enough to have been blessed by your graces of friendship and empathy, your proffers of kindness and of your benevolent nature.

And even when you have not been treated with the respect and dignity that you so deserved, you have always been there for us all. Always waiting, always standing by. With the heaviest of hearts, filled with a million concerns of love. And the countless hopes of good health and personal contentment for everyone but yourself.

These are the selfless traits that make your absolute blessedness, irreproachable; your unmitigated principals eternally complete.

These are the kind of things that make you, our Mom.

These are but a few of the many reasons why we appreciate so much having you in our lives. And would just wish to convey to you how much we love you, and how much we care for you.

Not surprisingly though you are not the type to ever realize what you have given to us. You are not the type of person to ever imagine the legacy you have bestowed upon us all. And so, we wish to impart to you that you will always live on. That you will always abide in our hearts and in our minds, in so many ways.

The way you have and continue to carry yourself through life, with decency and honesty, and with compassion and integrity. Your sincere acts of loving and caring, and of sacrifice and devotion. Will enable your spirit to forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of all the children you have brought forth into this world. Passed down to the countless future generations of your progeny that you so unselfishly and significantly have contributed to.

Your spirit will always endure.

As all entities of such purity should.

And even if, God forbidding, time itself ever ceased to exist. The love and spirit that is our Mother would still continue to beat, in all our hearts...

Forever guiding...

Forever comforting...

And forever embracing us...

As you always have...

And as you always will...

And although the words have not been created
that could suffice our true feelings, we would
be remiss if we didn’t say,

We Love You Mom,

And We Thank You,

We Thank You for all that you have given us...

And for all that you have sacrificed for us...

God Bless You Dear Mother,

With All The Love In Our Hearts,
Your Loving Family

Prose or poetry....it is nonetheless a great tribute to mothers.  Very beautiful, my friend.  Funny, I have always looked upon my children as the greatest gift I could have ever received.  I never would have thought they would have thought of me as a gift.  Hey, maybe they actually do! LOL

I am glad you slipped up...your oops brought tears to me eyes.
