They say that wisdom comes with age,
Each passing year a brand new page,
Your book of knowledge, always growing,
Experience, the fount of knowing.

Well let me tell you all the truth,
As I am getting long in tooth,
When you get old, the thing that grows,
Is just your hair, in ears and nose.

As I get older, I must admit,
That late at night I sometimes sit,
And ponder some on life's perplex,
Including women, the opposite sex.
If I must grow hair in my ears,
How come a women who's near my years,
Stays as pretty as a rose,
My darling wife, my heart's disclose.

(I am not old and dumb enough to not know I have to make up for the garden poem.)

Martie, I think you would have to be colored the color of a bouquet of Sierra Nevada wildflowers with the array of poetic blooms with which you have graced us.

Being able to laugh at yourself is as close to the fountain of youth as you can get -- feeling younger already......
