When I Fall

Banana skins have filled my path
And when I fall I take a bath
I have not suffered physically
But mentally it’s bitter tea.

Perhaps I walk a greasy road
And croak too loud much like a toad
I do not mean to stir the breeze
Perhaps sometimes a little tease

But teasing is a fine fineness
Unless it’s right it turns a mess
And there you are you slipped appeal
You humpty dumped and broke your seal

So I’m clumsy what can I say?
It seems to happen every day
Hard as I try I slip and slid
It’s at a point I can’t abide.

Once broken it’s a different song
And makes no difference right or wrong.

My humpty's dumped on me a few times...
scrambled eggs, anyone?

Bananas on the side, in cream.

Toast and coffee at your request.

Raspberry Tea a must...

Good morning, Sy!

Gee Sy...and I just had scrambled eggs for breakfast!
Now about that bitter tea?
Wasn't from me I hope.
How about some Chai tea today?

Well I fell for your poetry a long time ago

And this adorable, clever, witty word play of rhymes, phrasing & theme is a perfect example of why I did. Could this poem be any cooler??? me thinks not. Love the twist you put on the nursery rhyme theme Sy-babes.
As for the teasing...every dragon has his day

JM,
Yes, every dragon has his day.
And Randy thinks it's time to fly away.
How about some tea for two
Somewhere near the zoo.

I love this Sy.  I am one who can insult someone, just by paying them what I thought a compliment; diplomacy is not at top of my list of how to make new friends...ever egg on my face.  And some of my observations would have been best left unsaid, for having read them later I am sure I didn't say that, did I? What was I thinking!!???

Throw in a genuine Gracie Allan personality and strange sense of humor, and there are days I shoulda stayed home...

Ah, well....such is life for us all...

Thank goodness we have your poetry to recenter us all.

Hugs, Pat

Seymour, I know this in more ways than one...LOL

And this is so cute......

Perhaps I walk a greasy road
And croak too loud much like a toad
I do not mean to stir the breeze
Perhaps sometimes a little tease

But teasing is a fine fineness
Unless it’s right it turns a mess
And there you are you slipped appeal

It’s at a point I can’t abide.

This gave me some much needed giggles today......along with Duncan's reply. And, isn't Bill sweet?

Shoot, I knew I should have read you first this morning. It would've made me feel better......it always does.

And Randy is so cute, too.

Heart hugs to you, friend
Ethel
(and thank you for your kind offer in your reply to my Tear Drop poem. I really do appreciate you and all your support.)

I love this, Seymour! *S* And Duncan's croak and Ratleader's prime rib just added to my grins. *G*

(big hugggssssssss) Yes indeed, there's nothing right or wrong behind it all, the only moral is how you're going to get back up and how the kings horses and men are going to serve! (sigh) Marvelous, dearest friend, one of my favorites I've read of yours, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
