You are the space
surrounding my heart ache
scattered like puzzle pieces
contours and soft edges
dreamscapes of blue
appealing to me.

Silent murmurs entwine
insistent as a steady breeze
billowing through the window of my mind
skimming over the sea
releasing the churning within.

Immersed in the rise and fall
as deep and wide as the waves that roll
in full aware, of my fluttering
soaring in the shadows of lost lovers
you are my favorite song, and all that inspires me.

Slow dancing across my thoughts
ever silent and swift in your movements
you are minutes at a time,
the essence of my ecstasy
the back drop of my peace and serenity.

You are the glimmer of hope,
glistening
in the middle of the night
shape shifting my calm with intent
befitting in the moonlight.

You are my sky in the stars
the view from my eyes
a place in heaven, slipping in
you are my passion in disguise
an unsolved mystery to me.

BluesSerenade...The imagery in this poem is just astounding. But the full impact of emotion is felt through each carefully chosen word. This piece is BRILLIANT!!!!

Wow I have only been here a short while but at every turn there is another beautiful piece of poetry. Nothing inspires me more than great talent, and it has been awhile since I have been inspired so.

BluesSerenade this is a very lovely poem. “You are my favorite song.” And the way three of your stanzas start with “You are” remind me of a poem that I wrote titled “Your My Everything” which I will post. It doesn’t compare to your beautiful poem, but hey, part of why we’re here is to learn right?

I’m looking forward to seeing what other treasures lie around the bend...

Take Great Care,

Richy

Creating s again, are you?

Richy, you have it so right...
one of the biggest fortunes you
will find here in Passions, is
one poet, inspiring another...

and this, on her 3,000th post...

Beautiful!  This has a tidal ebb and flow to it which parallels the imagery.

Very nicely done.

Lori, this is so beautiful...all of it.....
but this just reached out and grabbed me....

You are the glimmer of hope,
glistening
in the middle of the night
shape shifting my calm with intent
befitting in the moonlight.

May be the moonlight and me conjuring up
thoughts in my mind of me and my Honey-Love...

Hugs,
Ethel

I could not possibly dissect this piece to pick a single line or set of lines, as the entire poem would be posted in my comment.  You certainly have the imagery all together in this one and congratulations also on posting of 3,000.  Your poetry adds so much to these forums and you are of course one of my favorites.

I dont know what makes me more envious...

that you live by the beach...

that you are this high inspired...

or that I didnt write this beautiful poem.

Ok...you win on all 3 counts.

this is LOVELY poetess Lori!!

You're the best I've ever felt ...
it's so wrong not to be with you.
It's getting harder to stay away,
it stops my heart just to be with you.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Lori, this is wonderful, sweet friend, and perhaps the space around will always be somewhat of a mystery but I'd rather go on vacation there then have to fear getting lost again! (smiles) This is sooooooo lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

If  I were asked to write something, just one thing in my life, this would have been it. If ever words could love, these do.  If ever heart and soul could be put on paper, you’ve placed them there.  If ever someone
could touch another, you’ve done it here.  You’ve done everything in one piece that I’ve strived to do in many.

I bow to the master.
