If You Listen

if you listen
I will tell
myself forever,
every dot of me;
I’ll call them back,
the minutes,
all the details
I’ve forgotten,
only listen, listen,
stay with me
and I will
tell you all, then
when it’s done
I will recount
each detail
of the telling
just to hold you
through each
moment
for another
moment,
only listen....

Oh, that the heart would be heard...in the listen of the body. Excellent prize here. TD

Now that I've back spaced a dozen times, suffice to say this is my kind of poem.

Your heart speaks with such tenderness,
in a language all it's own.

I am at a loss to find the words to tell you so...this is something very special,  indeed.

You're a class act Mr. Rat~

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine

I will remember you
