Two of One

I am in a way Jekyll and Hide
And live a life I can’t abide
It is a form of night and day
One is light the other is gray.

One lives in the light of sun
That is the way each day’s begun
The other in the shadows awe
Pacing behind a secret door.

And each can’t bare the others sight
They live a life of constant fight
A pandemonium of wear
The difference between dare and prayer

It is a pox a paradox
A little like Pandora’s box
I would sir Jekyll none of Hide
I would the Eden to abide.

The battle wavers to and fro
The end is death I think it so.

We've all gotta bit of Jekyl and Hyde me thinks.....bi-polar in all of us...to an extent..I think "Bi-polar" comes from this:....One day you can be on "top of the world"...but the earth revolves everyday...and you can be on the bottom....
Well done.....now, get that little devil off your shoulder....(Toerag on one shoulder, Earth Angel on the other)...decisions-decisions!!!

Seymour, this is so true about me as well. Though, I'm not exactly Jekyll and Hyde, but there are always instances when i can't make up my mind...

If there be death
Let it be Hide
Hold Jekyll's head
Up high with pride
You are a man
Of light and dark
Whose bite is less
Than his bold bark!
In peaceful eden
You shall reign
Where there's no angst
No loss, no pain
With crown of gold
Upon thine head
You'll rule eden
As to manor bred
For you be king
Among fellow man
And as you wish
Then so you can
So worry not
Jeckyll will win
Hide will go
And so will sin!

Love & Light,
Linda

There is a little of both in all of us, but you can decide which one you want to be.

Nancy,
Have no fears about you, will be there for tea.

Well they say "there are two sides to every coin." Just like the Bell brothers....Ding and Dong. lol....groan. If we didn't have another side to us.....we would be so bored of ourselves...... Oh, my other half isn't making any sense, so I will just say, wonderful read again this morning Sey, and how about a nice piece of cherry cheesecake? Okie Dokie, hugs, Chris

p.s.  If I am not here for the next couple of mornings.....it's because of abit of contruction going on in my house that makes it imperative to move the puter. Darn!! Enchantress will make sure that you have eats with your tea.

We have to have some downs
to be smiling at the ups...
if you'll bring the tea, my friend,
I'll bring saucers and cups...

Good morning, my Sy!

Ummm... Seymour??? I guess I should warn you that if you've got Toe on one shoulder and EA on the other, you're target for a suthern tackle??? LOL

I like this very much... maybe because I feel a day is successful when the suthern belle manages to keep the grouchy ole hag out of sight all day! LOL Well done! *S*

Hey! Have you been wearing my skin?  I knew that Serenity would relate also...I thought of myself and of her for some reason.  Anyways, an excellent, clever write Sy.  It's one of your best!  And yes, it's a keeper!

Hugs,
Melissa~

Seymour, I'm really late today, but still glad to see that you were here this morning.
Yes, I think you hit the nail on the head today. We can all relate to having some of the good and the bad. And, you are also right in your response to someone, if we try hard enough, we can determine which one prevails. Well, most of the time anyway.  LOL
Heart hugs to you, friend
