Between the
lightening strikes
and the
thunder voices
Is a space
in time
When we hold
our breath
and use our
listen ears.
Raindrop eyes
stare with
searchlight lenses
at the bruised
skyline
bandaged by clouds
and rainbow tape.
Patches of blue
evoke feathered
singing praise.
While the ebbing
storm's
death rattle
signals
us -
it's
safe -
to -
breathe.

Chris, I loved this. Nothing like a good storm to take one's breath away.

Patches of blue
evoke feathered
singing praise.
While the ebbing
storm's
death rattle
signals
us -
it's
safe -
to -
breathe.

How very beautiful! *S* I used to actually enjoy storms... Allison changed all that and for a long while, even rain rekindled the fears. *S*  Wonderful write!  *S*
