Through winter long, on foreign soil,
we dream of springs' approaching tide.
Faint, fluid motion memories,
kept stowed away, on which to glide.

Enbalmed, our vital liquids drained,
replaced, to face the coming cold,
'til only this, the slightest trace
remains in stasis in our hold.

Reflecting crystals of desire,
majestic vistas of the waves,
a freshened breeze that never tires,
a re-birth from our winters' grave.

A pulse , returned, to feel the surge
of life-blood though our questing bow,
complete, once more, we gently merge
with water, as the here and now,

becomes again, the course we take,
no more the stuff of land-locked dreams.
'Neath scud of cloud at dawns' awake
two vessels there rejoin the stream.

It is in the joining, that moves the flow down stream.

Nice one Dr.Moose~

poetSeaMaiden,
Thank you. I have been too long ashore. Just recently got the boat out of storage for two beautiful days on the water. It's hard to describe, but, land seems to be my second home.

Blues Serenade,
Thanks for replying. I agree, although it seems to me to be more of a re-joining, almost as if parts had been scattered, and then, put back together.
