Man and Poetry

A Man's poetic mind will rise,
As passion lifts his soul
-- So seek, and dare; but thou be wise;
No falsehood guide thy role.

Oh, dip thy quill, and bold prepare
Thy words of love's desire --
But tremble! -- Thou will court despair
-- Should thy words misfire.

A woman's heart -- such treasured gift --
Must bid with tender eye;
Thou fail -- thy heart be cast adrift
-- To crack; wither, and die.

Goodness, GC, this is absolutely beautiful.
I think I'm going to really like reading
your poetry. I love the way you used your
words in it. I'm going to see if you've posted anymore.
