Is our love like a candle, let us
explore the ways.

Do we still glow in each others
eyes as the candle glows,

Do our hearts flicker when
we see each other like the
tip of flame.

Or is our love slowly dripping
down to a puddle below like
the wax of the candle.

Have we still the warmth and
glow like the candle burns or
has a breeze blew out the
flame.

It matters not how you answer, It matters only that i hear you.

QjQ, this is a really pretty poem. If you
are speaking from personal esperience, I hope
that your love last forever and never does this...

Or is our love slowly dripping
down to a puddle below like
the wax of the candle

You're right, to describe love as a candle! As it is a simple little thing that produces much warmth and provides much light in out hearts.

Yet, the wax of a candle hardens up after being burnt by the flames of passion. And a candle can be short-lived when the wax is all melted and the wick is used up. Surely love is not like this...

Beautiful! .... you must know the answer to your question, but just in case remember you can always lit a new candle ...just develop enough warmth in your heart  and you will mirror it in your partner's eyes.
Love, Margherita

Well, from what I can see, the flame is still burning strong!

~ May the light never go out on your love...

Warm hugs,
EA
