Hunting Balladeer

Don't like huntin' but if I did,
I'd probably miss and shoot a kid.
My aim ain't good, my sights aren't sound,
I'm the worst shot in this town.

I've shot some things, didn't like the meat,
(It's so damn hard to cook them skeet)
Couldn't shoot them birds that we all love,
(Them olive branch totin-pure white doves)

Those brave dudes that shoot them deer,
With guns so big they have no fear
They put that "monster" in their sights,
Blow off their horns at dawn's daylight.

There's many kinds on deer ya know,
Santa's reindeer, they love snow.
There's impala out in Africa,
They got moose in Canada.

Here on PIP we've got one too,
He's so smart he'll baffle you.
He sneaks around and writes in rhyme,
That "Balla" deer ain't hard to find.

If you're huntin' a poem to read,
Just look 'round here and soon you'll see,
That "Balla" deer writes with rhyme and reason,
Especially when it's "Toerag" season.

I have to agree with Seymour, sweets... the poem is fantastic, the picture is wonderful... and if my eyes aren't deceiving me, you even complimented the bug man! LOL (I always knew you were a nicer, kinder soul than Deer and his ole meanie pal Long John *G*)

I know they count points on deer antlers, so I'll count points here... On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 15! *S*

ROFL!!! You outdid yourself here. Toeman. Yep, them skeet are tough but you can get used to them...it's an acquired taste.

Does that make me an honorary Canadian, now that I'm a "mountie"?

This was fun

Whew! I gave a sigh of relief when I read that you couldn't shoot a dove!

Deer's doe may be somewhat unsettled that you are posting these wonderful photos of her Dear "Hart"---printers are busy across the land printing pics of that stud buck! You're making him famous!

Now, back to you! This was a rip-roarin' hoot and a half! I love it when your mix your wit, charm and creativity together!

Sending you a little kiss to make your toe feel better!  "x"
