This poem was written because of the concentration camps that were made by Adolf Hitler in 1940.... Playing the role as Anne Frank who lived in the Annex of GermanyLeighsa costa 4-17-03 Out People Dying ,People Crying, Concentrate , concentrate . Your in a new place, and all around you is misery. People are getting sick by the moment. People are dying by the hour. People are Starving by every second, And no one even cares. As I sit and write in my diary , I look around to see what is going to happen And I wonder what could happen to me? Not Knowing What is ahead of me, Margot gets sick and with out a doubt, She is dead the very next Dreadful day.... As I try not to think of her I think of my family and how much, I trulymiss them with all my heart. Some nights it gets so lonely I even just sit and write for hours and say what I think is right. I try not to write about the bad stuff, But it just happens. I wonder everyday, If I would ever be free. I wish for the day to come when I would be able to go and play on my bike like the old days. Laugh and play with the other kids, Talk about anything, anytime I wanted.... I know that some day it will be my time, When God would take me in his arms and hold me so tight He would never let go.. But until that time I wish to live the rest of my life as a child, Not a child in a concentration camp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One day I will know when it is my time, And when I do I will promise you this, I will have had my soul |

Wow! this is a really good poem. It really gives you a look into what life was like. I wrote a poem about the WW2 time also, called broken hearts, but i never thought about writing it in someone else's viewpoint that lived during that time. Great job!!! peaceful_dreamer |
