The sky lights with changing colors bursting shining fierce expelling the darkness dashing lifting each rising breath surmounting over the top keening with intent penetrating eyes gasping deep into pupils dilating fall from the reign tears land on contact watering a field of irises spring into bloom a tentative sparkle splashing bequeathing my cries sent in a hush whispering quietly stills the night with a distant sound that no longer echo's leaving behind an assortment of colors tie dying the sky removing the stars I used to look up to make believing in wishes I once held so true. |
