“SPRING HAS SPRUNG”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Spring has finally sprung,
and the grass has rizz,
now I’m wondering,
where them flowers is…
Is dey here or over dere,
poking upward to the sun,
I don’t know really,
if they’ll ever be done…
But I’m looking for de fishie,
in the little babbling brook,
I know he’s there, he wants
to bite my tiny hook…
Hey, I see him in the pool,
laughing at me,
making funny faces,
take a look, you’ll see…
Whew, spring has finally sprung,
and BC is outta control,
I’ll go back to romance,
better for my soul…
You've got a tiny hook you say?!?---such a pity! You'll never catch a big fish with that little iddy biddy thing!
Delightful springtime poem!
Happy spring!
(giggles in delight) Oh Bill, you are too much, as tempting as it is to get a nice rainbow trout, I just can't resist its playful beady little eyes and will just have Chicken Of The Sea! (giggles) This is delightful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Hello  Bill
This made me smile the whole way through.  I love your sense of humour just as I love your words of love and romance.
Bill...Something refreshing and light from you. We have seen your romantic side and know of your expertise at writing in this genre'. But, this time, we get to see the humorous, light side of you. It gives us all a more balanced picture of the poet behind the words. ***Ivy Rose
Too dang cute!  But I will agree with you,  your charm really shines in your writings of romance.  So, go ahead, fish in the pond for bit and then bring me some more romance!
Karen - glad I could make you giggle...
vlraynes - thank you for reading this and your reply...
garysgirl - I haven't caught that one fishie yet, so would you please catch one for me...
Noah - maybe I should just have that Chicken Of The Sea with you, how about some chips to go with it...
Suetang - everyonce in a while I need to let the humor out, glad you liked this one...
Ivy Rose - always nice to see you and your kind words. It feels good at times to let the humor out in pen. Thanks for stopping by...
Patricia - I'm done fishing in the pond for a while and the romance is again wanting to come out. Here it comes....
