A Goodbye

Sometimes we have to say
goodbye to pacify those
incongruous to a system
of common sense, And to
satisfy their wimps and
whines and even knowing
this will not settle what is
honestly in their heart,at
the time of their incongruous
feelings." Goodbye To All"

This is sad....and I don't think you should say Goodbye.  I think you should look deeper and go to where the truth is laid and see with your own eyes what they speak.  Then you will have ALL the knowledge to judge.  For one to judge without fully knowing they can only see part of the picture.  I think you need to look closely at what is spoken of for yourself.  All of this is making me sad....

QjQ, I hope that you don't leave. You seem to be a
very nice person. I hope that you chage your mind.

It is unclear to me who you think you are that it will pacify someone if you no longer choose to use this forum?

This is a family of friends, maybe to have one it is best to be one.

Everyone has an opinion and Ron should be allowed to work the system that he has spent considerable time (which also means money) setting up. As to what gets published, I trust his judgement, and system, period.

Instead of running off a hot head why not wait and see.... Dixie can't have an opinion?  You can't have an opinion? I don't get it...Everybody has an opinion and they all count.

I have never belonged to any office, family, organization where everyone agreed. Would be very boring, for one thing....This place is no different.

Stick around and post some poetry....

I've been here only seven months and had not one of my poems gotton selected I wouldn't care because all my favorite poets whose poetry I've come to enjoy will be in one bound book.

I have not read that entire thread, but Ron knows exactly what he is doing.

Hope you can find some pleasure here because it is a wonderful, loving place. You evidently have not been here long enough to have realized it. We are all just one among many.

Hugs, Pat

I tried to help in this by posting  the rules of determination in this forum but as I can see NO ONE has recognized my efforts and concerns. and my reasons were justified by the fact that my work only got 7 direct votes, or at least the last time I looked, So ask yourselves one question? Did my efforts help solve the problem?  NO!! they did not, So I did what I felt in heart was right I contacted ron and ask to be deleted to make room for others that believed they were more qualified then I, Again ask yourselves did QjQ try to solve this?  and perhaps I overreacted in the main posting forum with my goodbye however I believe many overacted to my being chosen to be published over them, because I only had 7 direct votes, I rest my concerns and wish you all the best in your endeavors of poetry,  glenn turner aka QjQ

I am very sad that you are saying goodbye.... I do believe you tried to help.  I hope you reconsider your decision of asking Ron to delete your poem.  I personally deem the poem worthy of submission.  I believe I was one of the people who voted for it.  Also please reconsider forever leaving this place.  I have left numerous times to myself saying I wouldn't return even though I did here and their to read a poem or two but I can't help but return I enjoy the people and the poetry very much. YOU included.  Keep your chin up and lets see your smile again....

Why do I feel like spanking you?
ROTFL. But seriously, not everyone has time to read every thread or even reply, and sometimes, you just gotta be patient. Please give the SW and the readers time to reflect/react. (BTW, Ron just did an update)
Of course, if you are truly unhappy here, then we will just have to accept your goodbye. Personally? I've enjoyed your writes so far.
PS, you are only allowed to pout for one day.

Hi Ron

I just read your response to the question of determination for publishing and i believe your thoughts are in line, as for me being a martyr perhaps i am, however i felt that many were referring to my submission and after many attempts to bring the submissions rules to attention i was ignored, so believing this i took the action of being deleted from publication to solve the problem because i felt being a newbe in pip was part of the dilemma, So with my thoughts being conveyed to you i'm leaving the decision up to you if you feel my poem is worthy and has met all your guide lines then feel free to publish it.

I read what you posted and tried to do so myself. One thing we all have to learn here is that even as amateur poets, we are very sensitive...and have to learn when not to be.

All we could do was offer what we did in guidelines and the rest was up to private emails. It sometimes takes us longer to understand that it is better to go to the  source, if a question is not answered.

Please post more poetry and enjoy those of us who do.

M

As i have stated in past postings concerning this issue, my input was ignored, Then believing that perhaps i was a victim of a system flaw, my decision to have my poem deleted was done only for the humanity of others, and not to appear to all concerned that I was disappointed or having any feelings of rejection in the book" reflections," my only recourse in my decision was I did not want to become a statistic in the flaw. should it be determined,  and prevent others from advancement because of a system flaw. Hopefuly this will clear up my actions?
This will be last response to this issue!!!!

That makes sense.....
Just make sure you stay around Passions and continue to read and write poetry.
Take Care,
