Oyster Tears

anguish is
the greatest pain
where only
memories remain
no chance
of white spark
at the bottom
of this dark
I wrap myself
in echoes unspoken
pulling at pearls
to find them broken
from a string
I thought so strong
a weakness of trust
thinly wrong
time finds me
on knees once more
gathering oyster tears
from bare floor

WOW!!

Absolutely powerful write! Deep sorrow displayed without relief. Your word choices are fantastic and fresh. Might one say that oyster tears bring pearls of wisdom?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
