Read the survival guide first.
Of course,
those were the instructions
you threw away immediately.
How could they begin
to fathom the depths of your
limitless experiences
which negated your need
for simple manuals and such?

Aha, I said,
arrogance and cock-sureness
will get you in the end.
You turned and laughed boisterously,
as you tightened those insignificent
toilet bolts down even harder
until we heard
that cracking sound.

Exactly the point!  Cute observation Kacy.  Should we call this 'potty poetry'?

And have I not been there.............

I thought the task
simple enough for one
who lived life in decision mode
but was perplexed in the end
by simple tolerances
one does not turn the seat
the way one torques a head
nor does one forget
structural weakness
DESIGNED
for failure

will indeed
fail

Now... where was
that hardware ad?

I heard new toilets
were all on sale....

LOL, seems as if most of us have encountered this or a similar situation.

Ron, that was great! "one does not turn the seat"

nor does one always turn the other cheek....LOL
