I Wish

I would I could like kings in reign
Just wave my wand and grace ordain
Touch my friends with velvet glove
Fly the dove and gift of love.

How often have I silent sat?
Listened quiet held my hat
Kept my tongue in lazy sleep
Left a scene without a peep.

My mind was full of rage and kind
That smoldered neath a blankets bind
And would not throw the cover off
Nor dare to even sound a cough.

It is not what I wish I could
It is no what I should or would
But leaves me dry and in a sigh
Weather the words are truth or lie

I would I could like kings in reign
Just wave my wand and grace ordain

In my humble opinion:

Maybe grace would come if you didn't hold your tongue.  Let it out so that understanding may prevail in the land of Seymour.  Then you can be the king and reign eternally!

I love your writing!

Sy,

Ah, your poetry, like the wisdom of Solomon....

Often silence does speak louder than words and the essence of you I think will always command a better performance of those who know you or, get to know you through your wonderful poetry....do as I do, just might be the larger lesson...positive living begets positive living???

Anyway, my theme is: Leave! Saves much other negativity which might arise....

Aren't I chatty this morning?....

Enjoyed this poem and sparked my mind.

Hugs to you, Happy day

Seymour...What a graceful way to bring out a truth. I can't think of the times I have held my tongue while my thoughts tumbled over. An amazing poem!!! ***Ivy Rose

Oh goodness, Seymour.....wouldn't it be
so nice if we could do this whenever disturbances
come around? It is so hard, sometimes, when
you know that you know you're right. It
would be such a nicer world though, if everyone would practice silence sometimes, wouldn't it? Thank you again for the lesson
in wisdom, friend.
.
.
By the way, I thought for sure that I
replied to this earlier this morning.
I do remember reading it, though. I must have had
to get off the computer right then, for
some reason. I try to never miss your poetry.
Hugs,
Ethel

Time for us to speak, methinks...
this touched me Sy...more than you
may ever know...
Never be silent again...
at least, allow the ink to flow
in our pens...so those who might, will...
and those who don't?  Won't know
what they missed...

HUGS!
