Looking out for you
on your knightly steed
would you capture me
if I fell for you
from my balcony.

Would you sing to me
in harmony, a rhapsody
endearing me
with your reverie
in velvet, cloaked.

Protecting me from the enemy
would you cross your swords
with your gallantry
would you come to me
and be my chivalry~

Yes. It's what I do.

Could no more not do it than not swim if I fell off a pier.

surely,  if you fell....you would be caught
and there would not be any dickering about
how much the favor would cost....  A simple
smile is worth millions....

Watch out,  I am gonna have to write one of
my Knights/Maidens poems....

Lori...Seems like there may be a few knights still around, just have faith, and fall.

Lori,

Cute write...are you letting your hair grow, though; some towers are pretty high?

I had a lovely old man open a door for me (though I don't think your reference here is an old man    last week and he was laden with packages....some have that built-in quality of old-fashioned manners and I love them...

Good concepts here,

Enjoyed, Hugs, Pat

Lori, I hope that you will find your knight soon, or at least a guy with the manners the men who replied here still have.

Hugs,
Ethel

(I wasn't going to mention it because some of ya'll may be getting tired of hearing it, but I can't seem to help myself......yes, that's one of the other qualities I wanted in a man, and finally have in my Gary. So, I just wanted to say that it's never too late, friend. There's still one out there for you, too)

Hi ecrivan~ I like to think a little polish goes a long way.
Nice to see you here, and thanks.

Temptress~  Me too, thanks for reading~

You're a hoot, Raph~ and always, you make me smile.

Will do Mysteria~  Maybe we can get em to work a deal!
If they only knew what they were getting, eh?

You are wonderful you know!  Thank you Ed~

junemac~ we don't always get what we want,
that's where poetry comes in.  Thanks~

Oh tweety~ It's not flowers I'm interested in, I just want to land safely and ride bare back into the sunset.

Duncan~ What a guy, like I said, I never doubted you.
Thank you always~

Craig~ Yes, he did, I'm glad we're in agreement on that!

I shall be waiting with bated breath, to read your poem that is.
So good to see you here, thank you Barry~

Hi Martie~ I never doubted that chivalry was not alive and well.
I sound like a damsel in distress, not that I am ever stressed!
Hugs to you~

Pat~ You think I need to let my hair grow? Oh swell, I was hoping a lacy hanky would do the trick!  yea right!   Thanks, you!

Ethel~ I never tire of hearing about the love you share with your Gary.  I am just glad you're able to be here with us too.

Kacy~ He's so subtle and all, but what a gentle man!
So nice of you to stop by.  Thanks.

Startime~ My quest, yes, you've got that right!  Nice to have you back by the way.  Hugs to you sweet lady~

Almost missed you vandana~ Thank you.
I'm always happy to know you have enjoyed what I've written.

Blusie,
Sorry babe, but I'm taken! Another excellent write, btw.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

the repetions in the end rhyme are cool.
rhapsody, reverie,chivalry, gallantry, capture me,etc
a whole lot of the same rhyme, and it gives it a unique rythm that is charming to the ear.
A nice, and sweet poem.

Hmmm... well, I don’t know about a knightly steed... but one time a girlfriend of mine jumped out of her apartment window (bottom story) into my Mustang convertible...

Her bedroom faced the alley!

And, although I wasn’t wearing any velvet attire... I did let her wear my leather jacket as the night chill began to set in...

Ahhh... thanks for taking me back BluesSerenade...

And ljossberir... thanks for bringing this poem back...

That was one memory, worth reliving...

From the responses here, I can see I'm greatly in need.  Do I get travel pay?

I greatly enjoy your writing!!  Ken
