Costumes of sequins silvery
Embellishment displayed pretentiously
Now an unaffordable luxury
Such a drab unnecessity
For all dressed up, no where to go
Left a me I did not know
Stripped of ornament of the skin
Unadorned, I can now begin
To greet the me of reality
Find the jewel eyes can’t see
A treasure that can only be
Of the golden locket held in me
