I am not a Christian,
I am not a Jew,
I am not a Muslim,
not a Buddhist,
nor a Hindu.
Yet I am much like you.

I search for Peace,
Hope, Love, Harmony.

I search for answers
from high above,
I trust and believe
in a God of Love.
I do believe
there is more out there
than just the moon
bright stars and air,
that somehow life was meant to be
a beautiful vision
for all to see.

I don't partake
of the Establishments its true,
but please be kind and remember
how much I am like you.

Thank you,
Midnitesun

*

May ripples of LOVE
become waves of PEACE

Thanks to Sharon, for helping me re-work that previously awkward ending.

Melodic and smoothly written.

These words could be an agnostic's anthem.

Enjoyed!

Very beautiful in content and rhythm. I don't think Our God of Love wants us forcedly wearing labels. When you speak of Love, it means you have discovered the essence of Life. When there is Love, there is also respect for each other, whether we believe in God or not, whether we follow the teachings of one religion or another.
Thank you.
Love, Margherita

(sigh) I too think Love should never be labeled with a name, I never like to call myself a Catholic even when I believe in many of the doctrines followed, for what difference does it make? it is a simple creed to love and I am just going to call myself a Lover! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful writing, sweet friend, you go, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.

This is lovely Kacy. I believe that we are all God's children, no matter if we attend a certain type of church or none at all. As long as we believe in His unchanging love for us. hugs, Chris

Me too, Kacy

Seems that I have also chosen "none of the above" on my registration.

And yes, you are very much like me. (Except, of course, for the beastly bits...lol)

Religion is a personal choice~
Striving for inner peace and believing in the love of mankind as a whole is God's will.

It's nice to have company on the same page.
Good write Kacy~

There are many paths up that mountain to enlightenment. Personally, I have travelled several--I've been baptized in four different churches! I now walk the spiritual path and I feel as though I have come home. There are no judgements--no dogma. I feel more complete and happier than I have been in my entire life. I feel free to just BE!--free to be little ole me!
Your poem was wonderful and I can identify with much of what you say. I am not an agnostic. I KNOW there is a God, though S/he is known by many names. There is a divine creative intelligence orchestrating the universe and Love is what ultimatley unites us with one another.
Your poem was insightful and held much meaning for me.

Love & Eternal Light,
Linda

very nicely done.  Its too bad that we can't all accept each other like this.....we seem to label everyone.......and it all ends up in hate.......what a shame.

THANKS! I really appreciate this kind of feedback. I never intend to step on the feet of anyone who holds a deep religious conviction, and anyone whose path leads them to a kinder gentler humanity is fine with me.
I humbly thank you, for your time and replies, Kacy

Yes, and thanks Sharon. Sara is fine, just needs an expensive crown in the near future.

Thanks for your assistance with that previously forced/awkward ending, as the slight changes were an improvement.

I claim to be a non-denominational "christian" - that message has been so lost I hesitate to even mention it  - & I despise the judgements imposed by religion & society - just love one another while seeking spirituality & understanding
