Toys and Wars

With careless abandon, and the flourish of a pen,
Ivory towered spectators turn boys into men,
Empty are the ball courts,
forlorn the tinker toys,
scattered the erector sets,
silent the game boys,
It’s easy being sorry, when we haven’t got a clue,
no monopoly of conscience,
It’s war, what can we do?
Have pride in our children
support our fighting men,
And pray for G.I. Joes’s and Jane's,
‘till they come home again.

Olias.

Oh yes!! They need all the prayers they can get, and this is so well written with thoughts that we all share. They are coming home little by little...back to where they belong.  Thank you OLIAS for sharing this one!
