Fourteen years old
he has given sorrow
to those who loved him

and those who could
not reach him in time....

in time to find out
what torture he held
inside

that would make him
hurt enough to take
his own life

and leave
the lives of others
in dissaray

a gun shot heard
          and then another

and death rang out
through the halls
of the school

   and a child cried
and a mother prayed

Dear Lord
hear their cries
heal their hearts

and let the echoes
fade
into the sounds
of empty corridors...

life was taken today

Lord in your name,
we pray.....

(sadly enough at a local school today
a fourteen year old boy shot his principle
and then took his own life...
again the news of the day....
darkens the brightness of
the skies......)

I must have had my momma's will
and Gods Amazing Grace...

I'm a survivor....

This chilled me to the core...
It is divine intervention when parents can grasp these hurting youths and help before it is too late.
My prayers to this family.
The world is sometimes so hard for young minds of all ages to grasp. TD

I wish I knew why...or if I knew why this happens..
What to do about it..
What is happeneing to our young people?
May the parents of this youngster, and the family of the teacher,
find the peace that is needed at this time.
Thank you Donna.

Thank you Donna...it is so difficult to know what to say at this time, when the frustration at our inability to have seen this coming...makes us feel like we have blinders on.

Difficult to read and it must have been difficult to write. HuGS

Thank you all.  It is times like these when I am reminded of a sign I saw on a church sign the other day...
it simply said...
Do not ask what to pray for...
pray for everything...

AMEN........

Local radio broadcast of press conference....
just announced the Principles wounds were fatal...
God Bless those who are left to deal with this tragedy.

This chilled me to the bone then made me want to cry. What is going on in this world today?!? You wrote very well on something that is so incredibly tragic...

Warm hugs,
Linda

I wrote about it in Feelings, Donna...just another sad event..if only parents were aware of the signs and paid more attention to the needs of their child...the weapon came from the family home...the news and investigation are on going...just miles away from here.

hugs
M

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Donna, it is terrible, a little over three years ago in Colorado is where the Columbine High School tragedy happened and it breaks my heart to see school violence still happening! (wipes tears) My prayers are with the school, the kids, the faculty and their families, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

And that's the most wonderful thing about creating. It will always be a mystery.
