Nothing Mattered

Once a path with light did shine
Nothing mattered plenty of wine
No thought of loosing such thing as time
Foolish fun days those of mine

Fun not foolish now grown older
Want to grab life and turn it over
See every rock under every bolder
Feel all of it before I grow colder

To meld minds with those I love
Thanking daily God above
A life lived in constant learning
Ending not in painful yearning

Very well done
Enjoyed your poem
That’s the matter with age
Events are lessened with so much to reflect

This is a beautiful poem. Your awareness of passing time ... Amazingly, I was just thinking "if I could wind the clock back, I would change a few things ...." and then I was compelled to open your poem!
We are still in time ....
Love, Margherita
