Wrote this a week or two ago, when it looked as if one of our best might be leaving us, but before I posted it the rumor proved to be false. What the heck, I'll post it anyway and be glad she’s still around.....

The Questions After BluesSerenade

What good's a morning
if the sun blinks on,
a square of cool fluorescent
bulbs in the sky, and if the sky,
a decent blue, might be painted
green at any moment?
And the use of friends who
like mannequins are never false,
but simply aren't who they are?
The point, please, of daring to dream
any dream from the approved list?
Can there be no room for the genuine?
Must variety fade to drivel
like spit bubbles on an idiot's lip?
Will there be just nougat center
and no chocolate on this bar?
And, if all the worthy should depart,
the street of us left bare and sterile,
what good? What good without them?

Well said! May the bonds of love and friendship on Pips continue ... may no one feel like leaving.
Love to you and Blue Serenade.

Enjoyed reading this, and glad that you posted it.  Also glad to know Blues Serenade is staying here at home!!  It seems we all leave the table for a break now and then, but it's not long before there we are, pulling up a chair and making ourselves at home, which Passions is.  Great write!!

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~~S~~

It's a sad thought when we think we may be losing one of our best.

Gosh, I love this poetic family! This lovely poem and the kindness and thoughtfulness of the man who wrote it--namely YOU!--is a reflection of the caring nature of so many of the Pipsters.
And the outpouring of love for our much-loved and respected family member--namely Lori!--fills me with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
Ain't love and friendship grand!

Great, big, passionate hugs to all of you wonderful people in Pipdom!

Ed...I didn't know Lori was thinking of leaving, but so glad to hear she's not.  Thanks for your caring ways, my friend, shown in this poem.

When I read this one of hers it sort-of froze me -- I'd just gotten onto the quality and depth of her writing, and from this it looked like there wouldn't be any more.....

My first response was "$&%#@&!!" and the second was this bit of writing...

Indeed.
I have been out of touch for a little bit, solving some things of my own.
You have said this well, and in tribute to this very special jewel that graces these blue pages, it would not be the same without her here. Thank you.

Oh dear, now you've got me in tears.  Truly, I am humbled and grateful for this special gift that you've presented just for me, really??   No words can express this feeling that's come over me.  I thank you most sincerely for caring enough, it means more than you'll ever know,  not to mention that I am just a little embarrassed.  In the future I shall keep my emotions in check, and maybe I'll grow up one of these days.

And yes, I'm gonna frame it, after all the replies are in!  ha!!!

Thank you all so much for making a difference in my life,  and to you Ed for thinking enough of me.  Now then, I best get a hold of myself!

Hugs from my heart~

Excellent write!!

I remember, not that long ago, how important words meant .....

these are important words well shared.

A shame anyone who has found their way here
   feels unheard.

Always glad to see your smile, Lori
              ... and your thoughts Ed.

Over the past several years, I've watched a lot of treasured members slip away... I don't know if some ever realize that their absence makes a difference.

This is a beautiful, compassionate write... I'm just so very glad our Blues Lady stuck around to read it. *S*

Well, all the replies aren't in quite yet. Looks as though Bluesy will have to wait awhile longer to get this framed.

A great write for a great person.

Shoulda thought of it myself, but it woulda been so thick in metaphor that people would think I was writing my usual gobbledeegook.

As for you Mr. Ratleader, I'm really glad you came along, you're a good man, and I thank you most of all!

It's the little things that make a difference!

Ed, this poem for our sweet Lori shows just what a sweet and compassionate person you really are. I feel the way Lori said, I'm really glad you came here too.

And, I really love you both...

Hugs,
Ethel
