Roses!

My roses are blooming!
velvet red
peach tinged yellow
creamy cream
coral
pink
&
white as white

Ah!
The grass seems greener
The yard a bit cozier
And the humming birds cock their heads
As they streak by!

Roses!
Roses!
Roses!

"Fragrant beauties stately preening"

I can't imagine my little corner of creation
without them!

I love how you captured the anticipation of Spring in your words.  It's beautiful when the flowers start blooming before the heat sets in. I go out and tour my patch of yard every morning looking to see what else is getting ready to bloom.  Dug up three small rose trees and transplanted them into pots, poor babies went into shock temporarily, but they are all better now I'm happy to say.

Enjoyed your colors very much Robert~

BluesS.   my morning routine includes a trek through the back yard...i've had a "late" start more than a time or two, piddling there!

Robert, I love roses...especially the
peach tinged yellow ones (Peace Roses, I
think they're called?) So beautiful,
just as your poem about them is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing this.
Hugs,
Ethel

What a lovely portrait of your garden.....
Roses are my favorite and the thought of them pulls at my heartstrings and often can make me teary-eyed!!!!
