Silence in the presence of self
One human being, being human
Listen to the thunder of a whisper
Isolation now a blanket of security
Thoughts of jumble, simply erased
Uninterrupted pleasure abounds
Daydreams couple and mulitply
Embracing oneness blessed ~

How beautiful is this?
More than mere words can say...
but understanding that solitude
can be art,
when touched deftly
by those who know.

Chris, this is magnificent. Understanding solitude is not an easy thing, but once it is mastered, it is pure joy.

Richard - I believe it was one of my favourite speakers and authors, Iyanla VanZant who taught, "never say...I had to accomplish this all by myself....rather I accomplished this "with" myself."  Thankyou kind poet.

(smiles) Oh Chris, I love solitude too, well, except I can always use some birds chirping and twittering with joy! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I always love your wonderful contagious smile poems, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Chris, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Chris this is beautiful.  Solitude can be a wonderful thing.  As Richard said, we need to be one with ourselves....so very true.

Noah, yes, solitude does need the music of nature. Thanks sweetie.

Donna, how nice of you - thankyou!

Linda, ah..a lovely Acrostic of your own.

Aenimal, I agree....solitude is not an "always" thing. But once in awhile....Mmmm..it is divine! ty

This is so wonderful that I've read it several times and waited for days to reply just so I could bump it to the top again.  Don't want anyone to miss seeing it.

This is a great reminder to enjoy solitude and not misuse it.
