* * *

When I first began to write
My words flowed like a stream
This new phase in my life
Had seemed just like a dream

I had found my inner voice
And it needed to be heard
I had discovered a love of writing
And felt the power of the written word

I would write about my life
And my great passion for love
My words of love and romance
Would fit like hand in glove

I would share my love of nature
Through the words I would weave
And you saw my broken heart
For my father, I would grieve

Then my life began to change
There was trouble in my home
My writing took a back seat
And my muse was free to roam

I felt a part of me was missing
Happiness had deserted me
My life had lost it's focus
I wasn't where I wanted to be

I knew what must be done
As I took my pen in hand
Like the leader of an orchestra
I let my muse take full command

My heart opened up its door
And my muse walked right back in
My great love affair with writing
Would once again begin

* * *

"We are empowered by sharing
our deepest self with another person,
offering our heart, our soul, our life."

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Suetang - may the muse always be with you my friend. Your writings say of your muse...

Well mine is on some sort of a vacation, but I am patient and I am sure she will show up soon.  How very true this was Sue, that little muse shows up sometimes when we need her most it seems.

Yikes, thank goodness your muse has been roped back in and you are now both joined together again. I can't imagine how hard that must have been.

Big smiles that all is now well!
Hugs my friend, Marti

Poetry is the music of the heart...and this is definitely your song :-)

Great job!  I'm glad to see that you've rediscovered "you"...

Oh...I don't know WHERE you get the breathtaking pictures to add to your BEAUTIFUL poetry, but WOW!  This is just so wonderful! I love your style, it's so easy to read - perfect rhymes, perfect lines. MY kind of writing for sure!
