OF MOTHS AND MEN

JM, have you read this one?
I understand it offers great incites
(spelling intentional)
to understanding the ways
of men and moths,
and how best to not upset
the balance of nature.
I’ve heard that men don’t fly,
but women do..
off the handle
when they are upset.
Do you believe it?
I’m wondering,
what does a lady moth do
when she is angry?
Is there an anger management technique,
to solving a problem,
or do moths just fly away
and hope the problem can’t
ketchup  with’m?
I’m at a loss for answers,
so anything you can do
to help adjust my wings
and help me fly straight today
will be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you
in advance
for your technical
assistance.

They say hell hath no fury like that of a moth scorned ...
these wings are singed, scorched, tired, tattered and torn.
I'm not the best to give advice, my own I cant take ...
for the warm of the flame ... my heart I will forsake.
I'd love to offer you the wisdom of my winged insight ...
but far too many times... I've been blinded by the light.

Wings are overrated ... or perhaps I just never learn ...
So I live by the mothy motto of ... burn baby burn.

You're the best I've ever felt ...
it's so wrong not to be with you.
It's getting harder to stay away,
it stops my heart just to be with you.

We are more alike than you could ever imagine.
Funny how we seem to enjoy the flames over the cooling streams, huh?
Hell, let's just enjoy the warmth.

LMAO.. you two crack me up...

In the end run of all that is said
we live, learn to love on the way
and all too soon we are dead.

In each touch of another
whether in anger or in the 'flame"
our hearts only grow deeper
and we are never the same.

LOL...

Trailing moths it is true
can be as sticky as glue
for all through the air
they leave little for compare
but I just lit a flame
and to it they came
and I got to read their despair.

Ron....I'd expect that kind of poetic reply from a master pretty blue flame

Kacy.... my best advice?
Learn how to tell the difference between the flame and the bug zapper...
unless of course you need a perm.

Wait till Duncan gets a hold of this thread

~Smoke and Ashes~

by:Tracy Chapman
from the CD New Beginings

I thought I'd won your heart when I held your hand in mine
I thought it was true love the way we complemented each other
But my right is your wrong
And when you're right then I'm left with nothing
Your light and your heat have all been spent
Leaving only smoke and ashes
Only smoke and ashes baby

I've got a red hot heart
Any your heart's as blue as the blood in your veins
I say there's fire down below
You say it's only smoke and ashes baby

~~~~
Moth anthems...ya gotta love em
(chuckling)...
Tell me does the road soothe
the aches and all the pains
like the touch of another one
or does it negate your gains
You can ride a thousand backroads
and search a million miles
but nothing baby's gonna soothe the ache
like when a lover smiles.
So cruise upon the highways
and try to forget that name
in the end you'll just be lonely
if you keep playing at this game
LOL, yes, perhaps. But at least I'll crash in the very best company!
I can't laugh too much right now though since I'm
(Nina Simone was one of my all-time favorites.)
Page 753, section 25, subsection 12, paragraph 2...
Moths love ketchup.
You're citing specific page numbers now? LOL, JM was right.
"but nothing baby's gonna soothe the ache
like when a lover smiles."
ohhh! that is superb Ron! I want to hear the song.
JM, I love Tracy Chapman's lyrics!
I'm afraid to hear it you'd have to find someone to sing it.. I am about as musical as a toad.. only noise... not harmony..
I’ve heard that men don’t fly,
but women do..
off the handle
Goodness yes!!!
What a fun thread, burn baby burn she says!
But for how long exactly??
A melt down is enough to send me into
a panic attack, so I best stay clear of
the flames so I don't burn my hiney.
  Fun write Kacy~
Thanks for adding to the humor of this thread, Bluesy. Hey, maybe you could sing Ron's song? Or maybe we should be the Blues Sisters?
When I saw the title's light
I zinged to Moth Queen for insight
for I knew she could bring the burn
as only those who know blue flame learn...
for what's invisible to all the rest
is how the moths surpass the test...
I viewed from the sidelines
Like a bug upon a leaf.
I marveled at the poetry
Of moths and men, “good grief!”
So few words can describe
The draw of moths to a flame,
So I came and got burned again,
Just to play Kacy’s game.
I fly away with wounds again,
Having learned a thing or two ...
Don’t mess with moths or men
Whatever else you do!
They will try to out-talk you
Though they don’t have much to say,
That is why this moth flys single,
Yes, even to this day!
ROTFL at your reply Sharon.
You always have plenty to say, and can fly equally alongside the best of the flock.
