They were just words
She spoke as her eyes drifted
Looking for the right notes
Looking into my eyes
As if the melody would be found there
Hidden inside of me

There were clouds of music scored
In the stories she told
Each one given with a fear
Of misunderstanding
Always searching to see
If a similar story was
Known to me

I listened in neophyte way
To strings that resonated inside
As they were struck by the words
And the notes they carried
Each having its own familiar tune
Sweetly inviting me
To surrender to her song

Care

Comfort

Their composition became mine

On one arching trill
Rode thunderous storms
Now long since passed
But still scaring the ears
In their memory

In a soft and whispered verse
Came the tender sweet of sensual
That rose in slow tempo
To a crescendo
Of quiet after.

She touched in me
The notes
Not laying on black and white keys
But that float

Her eyes no more in search
For she had found

Her song the same as
mine

Now here's a duet with no lines...
no visible means of saying "this is hers" and
"this is his"...it blends well...

and I am proud of both of you!

Whoa! One in the same. A wonderful blending of caring and love. As if you've both found your twin, can't tell one from the other.

How nice,

Hugs, Pat

thanks all.... Susan deserves the credit here... she tied together the whole to make it appear to be seamless while I simply sat back for the most part and gave her a hard time.. lol..

This is indeed very lovely...your two styles compliment each others words very well.
Please du-et some more

You're the best I've ever felt ...
it's so wrong not to be with you.
It's getting harder to stay away,
it stops my heart just to be with you.

This does "float"--

absolutely gorgeous and YES, it is seamless.

And yes, Susan Ron does talk softly, but I hear he carries a big whip! laughing

(couldn't resist)

A wonderful duet--in fact, I'm downright jealous!

(smiles) Awwwwwwwwwww, this is just simply gorgeous you two, dearest friends, we all sing different songs but that doesn't mean we can't play the same keys, and when we hear those keys, my oh my, imagine the composition that follows! (big huggggsssssss) God Bless You Both, sweet friends, we all love you both so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Ron and Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you both!

Simply wonderful!  I find duets to be a lot of fun, especially when you both find the same 'rhythm'! Really enjoyed this one.
