Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-04-20 04:32 PM

Sit me in the rain to cry,
For no one should see these tears,

Let the willow weep with me,
That its limbs may screen my fears

And now the sun has come to play
Darkest night has long gone ‘way

Please sit me in the rain to cry
That you shan’t feel this body’s sway

Baby was held in my grieved arms,
For this fever that held too tight

Sit me in the rain to cry
                   Its cool relieves the fright…

Sing me well again my dear
                   Cry out in grateful gray

Sit me in the rain to cry
                    My babe’s now gone away…

And now the willow whispers well
The song of my gone babe

Sit me in the rain to cry
                     My babe’s now gone away.

Rain now falleth from my eyes
From your verse of sorrowful goodbyes.
Please cleanse your spirit, my friend,
With the rain that God now doth send.

Karilea,
It is God who puts the pen in your hand and the paper before you so that you may provide us with the thoughts of your heart.  His purpose for this is great.  Please don't forget that.

Be this a song or psalm, it cries a gentle mourning.

The sorrow hangs from every word, swinging in the wind like an abandoned and tattered barndoor.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Hauntingly sad song Karilea...
May the whispering winds blow your sadness away.

So beautiful and touching. Shared pain is easier to heal.
Love and hugs.

Oh sunshine, this is such a beautiful and moving poem!!! The grief pours out so beautifully. Those whispering willows and tears hid in the rain moved me so much! If this is based on a past experience, I grieve for you. May light touch your troubled soul!

The pain was beautifully expressed, and I know from experience the pain has to be expressed in order to heal.
