Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2003-04-19 08:00 PM

You have spent your life for others
Never a thought for yourself
Or for what needs you might have missed
You gave selflessly
Tirelessly
Your only thoughts were those of love and pain
Children
All grown with their lives
Needing you
Grandchildren
Lives before them with so much to be
Your time is now
Fly free into the sun
Release the shackles
And the bounds that keep you here
Your time is done
It is now for you to leave the Earthly realm
That has never treated you
With the respect and honor befitting you
Fear not, blessed one
They are there to meet you
And to welcome you into the Light
Mother, Father, Brother, Sister
They all await you on the Other Side
Let go the pain you have endured
Taking that final step into the Beyond
We shall be right here
Waiting for that day when we meet again
To join you in the seat you have saved for us
At the Table of Providence
Until that time
Know that we will always love you
That you are not forgotten
And that we are hopeful
Waiting patiently
For that day when come back
To take us home

This was written to my mother-in-law who is in the ICU waiting for her turn to go.

When the morning cries and you don't know why...

My Grammie left just a few hours ago as well, Ringo - I'm right there with you, and shall share my prayers for both of their voyages... God Bless...

Ringo,

How lovingly sensitive and releasing.
May God give all of you and family and friends strength and peace and Nan's, (above reply), as well.

I can't even say this is sad. Such a full, giving life. What an example set! You captured it well.

Hugs and love, Pat

..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons..

Brad, this is a very loving and heart-felt tribute to your Mother-in-law. She must have lived a wonderful life to have such love from her son-in-law.
Thank you for sharing this with us. My prayers are with you and your wife and family. And you all have my heart hugs, too.
Ethel
