April Wish (for Nightshade)

I wish for you the greening grass,
And trees springing into life's new day,
May the sunshine fill your joy,
On this bright and glorious day.

May the soft warm white sands,
Stretch beneath your feet,
As all the while you breathe the air,
Perfumed with flowers so sweet.

May the sky above today,
Remain the brightest blue.
As you hear the bird of April,
Singing just for you.
