Magma

I fan the best of embers past
To make them bright and last and last
I add no fuel for they were born
Of things were here and now are gone.

Some winds will stir the embers bright
To give the echoes former light
And warm the cockles of my heart
To things remembered in their start.

Things that flowed in beauties show
Things that fell like newborn snow
Things that blossomed like a flower
Things that gave me living power

Embers glow my memory place
Fading fireflies making lace
Wine and roses form the bind
Those that come to seek my mind

It is the fire of my abode
The magma of eruptions mode

I loved this...as I always love your work!

I love the metaphor!

perfect perfect perfect

I will always think of memories as embers burning

waiting for winds of change to make them glow

To all the wonderful poets that commented on this poem I thank you. I'm still having trouble with my soft wear, keep getting lines and double writing not sure what to do, but I'll try something. Thank you again

(sigh) And where do we go when the volcano erupts like Jimmy Buffett sings? Why go anywhere, let the embers shower all around you! (big hugggsssssss) Well enjoyed this, and fear not, you will find a solution, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
