"Puddle" By: Janna Shaffer Age: 14 Looking in a puddle, oh what a see! I can see the person, staring back at me, Even through the mud, I am still there, My reflection in the puddle, the wind in my hair. How special is this puddle? Very much indeed, It made me stop and think of things that I've never seen. Even though its muddy, the beauty is within, I look into the puddle, and see myself again. I wake up in the morning, the sun is in my eyes, I go outside to see it, my puddle it has dried, I drop my head in sorrow, tears of being left alone, Rolling down my face, a puddle of my own. I view myself as muddy, but others think Im grand. Like my special puddle, others think is muddy land. One's self is like a puddle, to be found by someone new. I look into your eyes, my puddles found by you. |
