I got mooned
last night on my way home.

I was minding my own business,
the book I was reading was finished,
I didn't mean to stare,
but he was just hanging there
head tilted a little,
his countenance
made me think he was
enjoying his view
as much as I, mine.

I saw a couple others
stop and stare, too,
right in the middle of
their work.

Looking up at the sky,
taking in the clean,
stark white of it.

The sun was slipping between layers
of gilt-edged clouds
on the the horizon
of the western sky.

But from the east,
he hung there,
smiling, almost as if
he was tipping an
imaginary hat.

Yep,
I got mooned on my walk home.
This time of year, the
moon can be so powerfully beautiful.
Don't you agree?

I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

"I Got Mooned"!  Of course I had to read it.  Enjoyed it, too.  And it's really hangin' out there tonight!

lol
I didn't know what to expect when I opened this. I love it when I get mooned this time of year also.

You could hurt me with your bare hands. You could hurt me using the sharp edge of what you say. JEWEL

Hi Vassy!
Hasn't been the same without you.  This was great...verve, and vigor, and the hint of romance...Great write. TD

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

Somehow didn't imagine you writing about the "other" moon, so had to read.
Enjoyed this twist.
