The moon was bright and full as we strolled, hand-in-hand, around the shoreline of the secluded, pristine lake.  There was something magical, almost surreal, about our special place nestled among the evergreen-blanketed hills of Northern Ontario. Away from the rest of the world, we enjoyed the peace and serenity of this little piece of heaven--our own Shangri-La.
We eventually made our way down to the water's edge and embarked  upon a weather-beaten floating dock. The planks beneath our feet swayed from side to side as we walked along its length. We lowered ourselves down, removed our shoes and hung our feet over the edge and into the cool water. We sat there in companionable silence, breathing the fresh, pine-scented night air.  There was no need for words.  We communed with nature, and with each other, on a much deeper level--a soul level.
Occasionally, the stillness of the night would be broken by the throaty song of a bullfrog or the splash of a leaping fish.  We were in awe of the reflective beauty of moonbeams shimmering on the surface of the water and wishes were made as the occasional shooting star streaked the night sky.
I gazed upon his strong, aquiline features silhouetted against the moonlit sky. My love for this kind and wonderful man, knew no bounds. Slowly he turned to me and gently began caressing my face and neck--with such love and tenderness. I trembled at his touch. A soft moan escaped my lips but it was
soon muffled by the laying of his sumptuous mouth on my own. I was swept away by the waves of this bountiful ocean of love. Time stood still as he drew me to his strong body and I surrendered to the moment--and to his love.

Ah, EA... this appeals on so many levels... your images are so vivid I could feel the water lapping against legs... the contentment of being where and with whom you want to be touches chords of knowing... and then... there's the heat... singeing the reader's eyebrows. *G* Excellent write!

Linda - a most loving write, you have a lot of tenderness and giving in your heart. A loving time spent together in romance, I like this a lot.

Mr. T. ~

I go through periods when I simply love to write about love. For many of my poems, I have drawn  from my own personal experiences, like this one for example. Wonderful, memorable moments that I bring back to mind and put to paper.

My dear, I thank you for the stroll around this beautiful lake on a night filled with romance and love. I read this twice and I am sure I have strolled this place in another time. Great imagery and fantastic writing.

Such a treat ... hugs, Marti

Beautiful Linda!
I know of a place just like this..also in Ontario...
We are fortunate to live up here in the beautiful north.
The scent of pines, the pristine lakes..the warm caresses...oh, um, sorry..
got carried away in the moment.
Lovely write..much enjoyed.

Oh, Miss Linda,

Didn't you just capture a most romantic scene! Imagery terrific with the heartfelt love to go along with it. Think this everyone's ultimate dream scene. Sight, sound, smell...all there...

Love this, and, hey, not bad for a troll....grinning broadly here...(just read Lori's poem)...

I mean Stroll!!!

You have such humility and never fail to help someone feel better...

Hugs and love, Pat

You are wonderful.

Pat ~

You truly are a jewel. You, my dear, put the "C" in compassion and caring and the "T" in talent and thoughtfulness. Thank you for your "wonderful" comment and reply!

Love, hugs, & smiles...and some added blessings thrown in for good measure,

Linda

(smiles) Yay! Oh Linda, this made me cry because I dream of having a sweet girl close to my heart and I want to take her to the beach or a tropical lagoon or a mountainside, as I believe nature is always the most precious place to take a loved one instead of a restaurant or some glamorous party! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this made me smile, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
