Inside the shadow's shadow

0 posted 2003-04-16 12:05 PM

Every night I crawl beneath your arm.
I smell your scent, eyes closed,
And for a moment all I can smell is you.
And that's perfect.

Every night I crawl into that spot
You like me to stay
You know the one...
The dirty little corner.
You say I'm safe there
And out of your way.

Every night I kiss the tears upon my cheek
With my fingertip
So light...
It still burns
From where you hit me.

And every night I sleep
In memories of you
Because with all my broken heart
I love you.

Thank you littlewing -hugs-

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

This is very heart-wrenching. Bitter sweet love is known by me also. I enjoyed the read.

lol, you're right 1slick_lady.
James: Yes, it is. But it is not about me. It's about a good friend of mine and sadly, I have tried everything I can to wake her up from this illusion...But she's so stubborn...like people in this situation often are. ~sighs~
Thanks for your comments everyone.
