Watching the sunrise on a sandy beach I look to the west and see a fading blackness I look to east and see a new dawn Serenity I drive on the music highway going from Graceland to the Grand Ole Oprey Top down Rushing past the trials and tribulations Serenity I remember the times I layed you on my chest and looked into you eyes as I sung a lullabye Serenity Watching the rebirth of a new season Brown to green Tree bare to cover sounds from silence Serenity Moonbeams shining thru broken clouds into the window Expectation followed by passion Followed by relief Serenity Lips to Lips to Lips The stroking of limbs and the brushing of hair the faint smile with rules forgotten Serenity |

I see the paasing of time in this piece. The reflections of life. Serenity found in each stage......now that is truely a gift. Serenity is generally found in the wisdom of age and the ability to look back and know that all is good...even the mistakes. Well done. Marilyn |
