Lexis

words are my therapy
and I need every letter
without them I couldn’t circumvent my life’s meaning
much less make it better
and I begin every opening with a thought or a line
from their open to closing I stumble in rhyme
with every blood, sweat, and tear
that I lay on the page
I unearth another love
another moment of rage
another time seen differently from a difference of age

cause I haven’t learned from my choices
or from the voices of time
what I need is to see it
a statement to define
that the meaning of my words
is my true meaning of premise
from a definition so cold
with a house full of tenants
so shackle off the soul and pay homage to the dollar
with every choke hold and change
they tighten their collar
around the necks of expression
    with a purpose in mine
       a word for a word
trading crime for crime

Very cool word play and phrasing here...
Many interesting and unique lines and images.

Well done...I look forward to seeing more of your writing.

Ocean wrapped around the sun
Sky fell down & pulled us in
stole away my oxygen
left me breathless in the blue
left me breathless there with you.
