Sparrows Rush
By: Noah Eaton
6/12/01

High upon the silent aerie
This singing sparrow twitters naturally
Resuscitating through song
Desiring love all day long
Blanketed by its Lord impenetrable calling

Gracing with sister waft in dreamy gouatte
Harmonizing with the forces of nature in the updraft
Contributing to nature’s hosanna
Resting in His hands and feeding on His seeds and granola
Eliciting mine blessings in His lap

The garden is but my only hideaway
Nature my foster bride to whom I respectably relate
Daffodil desires sousing cotton dreams
Ruby-throated hummingbird cousins teasing the eglantines
Hanging inside these halcyon days

Whistling ‘neath the canopy at gloaming
Feathered in the moonlight where I am dreaming
Of flying with a sweetheart by my side
Lovebirds cooing to one another for all our time
Drinking from the holy birdbath together in this coterie

Altruism my second wind, yet still a rudimentary sparrow
Learning to love forever, bellowing to behold
Sharing my nest with the sparrow of my heart
Making the sparrows rush each day, God carrying us far
And wearing my white crown high, hearing her heavenly scherzo

"Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..."

Shakira

Noah, this is just lovely. I have sweet little sparrows nesting in our birdhouses in the garden. When the tiny babies poke their heads out of the opening...oh, too cute!!
Look at you with your guitar and Shakira shirt on! Woohoo!! hugs, Chris

Birds of a feather always stay together never separate no fear.  Ooh can we see you.
Ooh are we near you.  How can you disappear,
out of here.  I wish for something.  I wish you were here.
Come home to me.  Our day will come.  Come home to me.  Our day will come.
Our day will come.

Hi Noah, somehow I missed this when you originally posted it. I have tons of sparrows in my backyard and they chirp away summer and winter. We feed them and although they make a terrible mess .... I just love to see and hear them.

As always, wonderful writing.

Noah, How wonderful, I read this and realized how much your poetry had evolved over the last year and a half. It is so wonderful to see the (complete adult voice) in your writing. Very very nice work.

Hello Noah

I haven't been on here much lately due to other happenings in my life but I am so glad I found this beautiful piece of your heart.  I adore birds and am always fascinated by them.  I hope all is well with you.
