Uncaring Wind

The sun is shining, day is fair,
strong wind attempts to kidnap hair.
I've waited for this sunny day,
why can't the wind have stayed away?
He blows the blossoms off the trees,
and almost knocks me to my knees.

I need to hoe, I need to sow,
and do not want the wind to blow.
He grabs my hat and tosses it
and teases as I run for it.
My garden thinks that I'm a shirk.
It's wind that keeps me from my work.

Easter is just a week away,
when grandchildren will want to play
and hunt for eggs on my neat lawn.
I'm firmly saying, "Wind be gone"!!!
The weeds are growing every minute,
the garden weeps that I'm not in it.

My time schedule is so awry,
as April's simply rushing by.
Wind had winter and early spring,
to huff and puff and do his thing.
I think he's really very mean
not to give up and leave the scene.

(smiles) I love the wind, but I agree that on Easter he shouldn't be around so all the children can hunt their eggs peacefully! (kiss on cheek) But I would love the wind to come on many other days, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I loved this story Joyce and could picture you running for your hat.  Up here the kids easter eggs will be floating away in the rain I am afraid - so our hunt will be in the house.  Oh, I enjoyed this one, and hope you get to your garden soon.

So? You had to send it my way? ...

Your wind had blown in groan and moan
and pulled in clouds to shift to storm
so if you think the wind you've loaned...
it arrived safe right here this very morn!

Now take it back!

Thnks everybody and Sunshine, I am glad he arrived ok.  But he's gone and today I don't have time to go and grow thing.  That's the way the wind blows.  Love, Joyce

ROFL... I love this! *S*

But when summer's here and blistering hot
You'll be giving thanks for what breeze you've got
And wondering if really, back on a spring day
You sat there and wished the wind go away. *G*
