Enveloped in the satin whispers of this April spell
Precursor, momentary tears that quench and blossom well
For this, the captivate of spring in shoulder bare bathed white
Enveloped in the sweet surprise, as spring has set on summer sight

And not to be held hostage, for this a simple breath in trace
Perchance a balmy sun spot, perhaps a single moments grace
For this the melting murmur, to soothe the cares of winter passed
And not to be suspected of a promise made or covet last

As cheer in drifts, of walks long since remembered, once upon a shine
Dispersed among the gentle chirps of creatures meek and smiles fine
For this, a magical expression from the pallet of a master unsurpassed
As joy within the simple thrill of springs soft breezes, pleases gasped

Kathleen~
This is such a lovely write.
I especially enjoyed the closing lines.
Beautifully penned.

Kathleen,

This is wonderful. And the last four lines, my favorite.

Gorgeous, would love to see it in the book!

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn
