When was it I learned
This day was not just colored egg
All full of children
Was when the song deep tuned became like sun
And I  listened to angel voice
The song a hymn soft hummed

I know the power that reverence brings
To life just a piece of clinging vine
A soft float of moss across the top of water
The true touch of listening wind
From a place where it matters yes
And song fills the emerald sky
Deep in cave this lullaby does snuff out dark
And turn beleaguered into start

Each time a baby breathes
And death captures another’s last
I wonder at the majesty of this part
This tiny finger with ridges getting older
Still and all love keeps this pattern on my wall
Where there is music majesty
A pattern imprinted just like candle upon the dark
Though hunters grab my meaning
And into doubt I fall with wealth of words impart

Still I sing this day a blessing for the green of this
That pulls me into knowing how with beauty
Time is still full and always captured
Even when the drowning day is done and dreams dare
I take a blessed breath of peace and I am there.

As always, a lovely and whimsical piece...so well thought for the spring holiday, and for the everyday that fuels the soul.

And this was a day
of baby hold, and loving
croons of long held
tunes...

this was a day of reflect
in light, and hug
so tight, then dreams
at night...

Yes, dear, I remember...
and bless your heart for the repost

there are days when I just need to read poetry ... to inhale it so that I may breathe...your versed breezes are like moth oxygen.

Ocean wrapped around the sun
Sky fell down & pulled us in
stole away my oxygen...
left me breathless there with you.

Martie, thank you for this. You bring such love and understanding to everything you write, that it's hard to imagine a lighter, clearer voice to sing us these feelings.

Think I've said before that you're a marvel -- this is another proof.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Martie, this is beautiful, sweet friend, this made me cry as I believe there is no sound more beautiful than a child breathing in peace and joy and laughing in delight! (kiss on cheek) I cry every Easter morning when I hear the children smiling and giggling, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Martie, I am so glad that you reposted this
beautiful Easter poem. It is good when we learn that
this beautiful day of celebration is more than
just hunting colored eggs and  Peter Cottontail.
I also love to see things through your words.

Yup... like when I read your work. *S* For as much as I'm in awe of your eyes that miss nothing, I'm also humbled by the heart that peeks from every word.

This is just beautiful. *S*
