Give them my regards
I will no longer wait for their return
I once was a patient man
now I have been dealt a new hand

Tell them it was fun
and I will cherish the memories
as I hold them near my heart
but today I will have a fresh start

Everything must change
time will not wait
but we should not fear time
for it is our companion
in this world we call home

Merely a temporary state
that we made into our own heaven or hell
this earth that is called our own
humans do that you know
claim what is loaned
as if it belongs to them alone

What do I speak of, you ask
Let me laugh, forgive me for this
youth and inexperience
are the victims of my rambling
for I will not be a part of them anymore

I am at a threshold in my life
where I must leave them behind
not that I won't still make my own mistakes
as a human this will still come naturally
for I have yet to reach the ranks of the saints
